There’s a project forming here but it’ll take several visits to get to the story to be told. During this shoot with photo friend John words such as ‘anthropocine’, ‘slag bank’ and ‘terraforming’ arose as a way to describe this rather unique and frankly shocking landscape.
I need bad weather. I need rain, tides and stormy skies. The story may then unfold. It won’t be an easy shoot or necessarily a pleasant or even a safe one, but I’m going to see what this winter has in store for me here.
