Despite the appearance of new leaves in recent days so much of the woodland down in the valley is still bare, but with green seeping through in the lower reaches.
The birds are now in full voice, full flow, and I particularly enjoyed being serenaded by this blackbird as I wandered the paths and trails that weave through the dew laden grass.
