Never in all my life have I known the oaks to come into leaf so early. Their beautiful sage greens dot the valley just after dawn as I wonder about the relevance of this, and the implications.
Mid April! and the oaks are coming into full leaf! At least we may have a dry summer according to the old adage ‘Oak before the ash you’re in for a splash / Ash before the oak you’re in for a soak’
I wonder if the time difference between the two species also corresponds to just how much of a mere splash we may get?
Just a handful of shots here despite me taking many.
