Maelstrom of Light

A dull morning on Ross beach in Northumberland led to me taking over 1,200 images of the waves crashing in. My nearest coast in Lancashire is renowned for a slow creeping tide so breakers are quite a novelty for me.

In this lightly edited set I share my vision of the power and might I felt as the seething tide washed against my thighs, pulling me ever deeper towards the captivating conclusion of these wondrous waves.
