These shots are the result of a simple wander around a local forest with my ‘take everywhere’ camera, the Olympus PenF. As a rule I always work on the raw files and bring my vision to life in Lightroom but on this occasion I chose to keep it really simple.
My goal was to capture what I felt about the place which was of course coloured by my mood on this day of harsh winter light. Hence I’ve done nothing to the files at all. In fact these are the in-camera jpegs created by the Olympus using a very grainy, contrasty monochrome profile. Straight from the camera right onto this blog page!
Occasionally it’s good to keep it really simple.
