Whenever I spend an extended amount of time anywhere I often end up focusing down on elemental images that capture just a hint of what is around me. Call them abstracts, call them indulgences or call them inspired, I can’t help but fall into this pattern.
These images speak to me of memories of the place and that, in reality, is what really matters isn’t it? After all, we all know what a beach looks like. Taking it apart in this way helps me to convey the spirit, or essence of the place.
Captured on a single piece of Scottish beach, these images appeal to me more as time passes than the traditionally classical shots that I shared previously.
