This was my first shoot of the holiday using my main stills camera the Canon 5Dsr and were all tripod supported. I began shooting just before ten pm, quite a while after sundown and continued right through to near midnight.
My exposures ranged from just a couple of seconds to over thirty as darkness arrived. The Heron was caught with a four second exposure.
