Over two decades ago I visited Mull on a travel shoot for one of the Sunday magazines and stumbled upon a very interesting beach. Black sand overlay a foundation of white sand which led to some curious and compelling patterns. I swore to return again and on this day, so many years later we stumbled upon it again.
Here’s an initial set of shots primarily setting the scene amongst the black, basalt (?) rocks. Note the Rock Pipit and chick. All these images were taken hand held with my lightweight camera, another exploratory session.
